Hello, my name is Henry Jackson III. Program Director of Project Excel, 

 

I am dedicated to providing innovative and enriching educational experiences that expand the minds of students across Pontiac School District. With a strong commitment to student success, I work closely with our Project Excel site coordinators, tutors, community partners, and families to create a supportive learning environment that fosters academic growth and personal development.

 

Project Excel is a 21st Century Community Learning Center (CCLC) grant-funded program designed to provide high-quality tutorial enrichment and afterschool programming. We serve students at multiple elementary, middle, and high school sites, offering engaging activities that reinforce classroom learning, promote social-emotional development, and inspire a passion for lifelong learning.

 

Through strategic partnerships, including collaborations with the Ascend Foundation and district initiatives such as Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), Project Excel is committed to bridging educational gaps, supporting diverse learners—including ESL students—and ensuring that every child has access to the resources and mentorship they need to thrive.

Together, we are shaping brighter futures for Pontiac students by expanding their academic opportunities and empowering them to reach their full potential.
