Pontiac School District to launch 40 electric school busses during the 2024-2025 school year.
The Pontiac School District continues to work for the betterment of our students. Yesterday, March 19, Debra Shore, EPA Region 5 Administrator and Philip Roos, EGLE Director participated in a special event at Pontiac High School celebrating our recent award of $15.8 million in grant funds as part of the EPA’s Clean School Bus Program.
These funds are bringing 40 electric school buses and infrastructure to our district beginning this fall. We were joined in celebration by President Garrett, Vice President Gross, CTE Student Ambassadors, Bill Holcomb, First Student, DTE, Borg Warner, state dignitaries, and members of the media.
