We meet with the school principals on a regular basis to ensure we are providing the best services for the culture of the school. We work to ensure everyone who walks through the doors feels protected and that their well-being and safety is top of mind. In addition, each school has Crisis Management and Pandemic Plans in place.

The mission of the Drug Free and Safe Schools Department is to provide a safe and secure educational climate for our students, staff, and community while onsite in the school district. The department provides security and safety support to all Pontiac School District schools and district buildings. Our team is made up of dedicated, skilled and trained individuals who are committed to the success of our students and district. Staff members in the department include our Chief of Security and 19 Police Authority Officers. The program operates under a Public Act 330 license.
