Robotics

Team 51- the Wings of Fire started in 1996 as team Chief Delphi of Pontiac Central and in 1997 at Pontiac Northern as the Huskie Brigade.  Our teams became one as Pontiac High School and ITA were born and we continue our rich STEM robotics history this year in OCCRA (Oakland County Robotics) & FIRST robotics leagues.

Our team is recognized as a Hall of Fame FIRST Robotics team and a World Championship Winner.  Over our history team members have gone on to work for GM, Ford, APTIV, and many other engineering companies.  We also have lawyers, educators, and students at Harvard, Stanford, The University of Michigan, MSU, and so many more.  Most of our mentors are former students who are now professionals and want to give back to the program that helped shape their lives.

Our team motto is "You get out of this program what you put into it." Students continue to do community service and team with our amazing sponsors (GM, APTIV, Ford, and many more), and inspire younger students, and make Pontiac proud.
