Practice will begin for the 2017 Boys and Girls Cross Country season at Pontiac High School on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at 2:45 p.m. The teams will report to the locker rooms to dress immediately after school and then report to the track. Practice will usually end at approximately 5:00 p.m., in time for students to catch the bus. You will need good running shoes, shorts, T-shirt, sweat pants, and sweat shirt for the time being for practice until eligibility is checked and verified.
Physicals must be turned in to the athletic office before you can receive equipment.
The teams are open to any 9th, 10th, 11th , or 12th grade student attending Pontiac High School, Middle School, or ITA School. There are no tryouts or cuts from the cross country team and all students are welcome.
Come join the team and represent your school, get physically fit, and enjoy the company of your classmates in fun and fellowship.
Volleyball- HIGH SCHOOL
TRYOUTS: On Wednesday, September 6th, we will begin tryouts from 2:30 pm until 5:00 pm in the Main gym. Each of the items above should be brought to the student’s first day of tryouts. A student who does not have her paperwork or is missing a current physical on file will not be allowed to participate. We will post the final team rosters and which teams have practice, outside the gym doors before school starts on Friday morning, September 8th. All girls should bring practice clothes to school on Friday the 8th, as that will be the first official day of practice.
Girls Basketball- MIDDLE SCHOOLPMS: Girls basketball tryouts will begin starting Wednesday - Friday after school. Please wear the proper attire, no leggings or tank tops, you will need to wear shorts, a tshirt, and have gym shoes and socks. Also, please get your physical as soon as possible. There is a teen center located in the C-Hallway that can assist with that. There will be buses to take students home at 5:15pm. Any questions or concerns contact the athletic department.ITA: Girls basketball tryouts will begin starting Wednesday - Friday after school.
